A few weeks ago, we posted a series of stories on Instagram whose theme you really liked! Indeed, how can you not be seduced by the spring-summer trends at this time of year? The triptych that is January/February/March can sometimes be depressing and on the contrary, the idea of ​​exposing yourself to a range of bright colors is very remotivating ;)

So that's the whole point of this new blog post: to offer you a nice fashion perspective on the months to come , because we know that the return of spring is also synonymous with renewal in the wardrobe, to our great delight.

The color palette

1 - Orange

The ultimate symbol of summer , the shade of orange comes in a thousand different forms this season. Blood orange, vitamin orange, coral orange... We love its "healthy glow" side, which is enough to create a look when inspiration is lacking! Our favorite in 2025? Pairing it with other flamboyant colors such as pink or yellow.

2 - Rose

With pink , we dive back into childhood in search of comfort. It's no wonder this color is the most popular when the good weather returns! It reflects our desire for warm and soft shades , to be combined with good basics for a touch of cheerfulness. From powder pink to raspberry pink, there is bound to be THE right shade that will suit you perfectly. In short, dare to wear pink!

3 - Lilac

A staple summer color that's been with us for several years now, lilac doesn't intend to stay that way in 2025 ;) This pastel shade delicately invites itself into sunny wardrobes. In the form of an accessory, it enhances any white dress. We also like to pair it with other pastel colors such as chick yellow or mint green.

The prints

4 - The stripe

It's the print we're seeing everywhere this season, and for good reason: stripes have become a timeless fashion staple. In 2025, brands aren't afraid to twist this wardrobe staple with bold variations, much to our delight! At Mapache, we're convinced that the key to good style lies in the right balance. This spring, we're falling for a colorful striped sweater, which we pair with our favorite jeans and, of course, our pair of Mapache jeans .

5 - The leopard

We loved it in fall-winter and we'll continue to love it in spring-summer! For several seasons now, leopard print has become a part of our daily lives, and let's face it: we can't get enough of it. Fashion-wise, it's just as trendy in small touches (hair scrunchies, scarves, handbags) as it is in a full look. Some even dare to mix it with stripes, and we love it!

6 - Vichy

Designed in a spinning mill near Vichy in the 20th century , this print evokes a multitude of images, ranging from Brigitte Bardot to the traditional jam jar. Since 2024, we have noted a strong comeback of the gingham check in wardrobes and which will continue this year thanks to its retro and slightly preppy style. Best friend of pastel shades, gingham embellishes a simple white t-shirt with great softness!

Ready-to-wear

7 - Wide jeans

In spring, we put our mom jeans aside and happily invest in wide-leg jeans . This style of jeans, having already invaded the wardrobes of influencers , is to be worn without moderation when the good weather returns. How? By combining it with a pair of sneakers and a nice blazer for going to the office. And for the more daring, know that the baggy trend is also emerging... More in the next episode ;)

8 - The t-shirt dress

This is THE piece that creates an illusion all season long. Don't be fooled by its casual look, because the t-shirt dress has the great advantage of adapting to a host of occasions, including when elegance is required! This is also why it is one of our summer essentials. Our little fashion tip: choose it in a dark color, so it will look just as good on the beach with mules as it will in the office with jellyfish-style sandals.

9 - The English embroidery blouse

Synonymous with freshness and delicacy, broderie anglaise is making a comeback this spring. But be careful, avoid being too silly and don't hesitate to "break up" your classic look with more casual pieces like jeans. 10 - Mary-Jane ballerinas

As we write this article, we're definitely realizing how retro fashion is going this spring-summer! Indeed, the ballerina is making a comeback , and we've taken the opportunity to create a new interpretation of it using our traditional Mexican braiding technique . With its small strap at the front, it's a direct response to the "balletcore" trend that's emerged on social media.

11 - Suede loafers

Suede leather is still invading wardrobes! While we're used to wearing it as a handbag or a short jacket, we also love it in a loafer version to add a bohemian touch to our summer look. At Mapache, we've been offering this iconic suede model for several years, and if it's still around in 2025, it's because our customers are still fans ;)

12 - Medusa style sandals

We're continuing our retro style with the legendary Méduse sandal. Initially made from PVC by the Méduse brand , it has been reinterpreted for several seasons in a version more suited to the city dwellers that we are! So, we're keeping the PVC pair for the holidays and getting a pretty pair in champagne leather to accompany us on a daily basis. Indeed, this style of shoe is particularly nice when you want to wear sandals in a more dressy way, so rather closed.

The bags

13 - The banana

Since the 80s, the fanny pack has come a long way... right into our wardrobes! If you haven't yet fallen for this decidedly trendy accessory, it's time to change that. But how do you choose your fanny pack? It's very simple: the more eye-catching, the better. So, we're going for ultra-flashy colors, unusual materials (you can't miss the sequined fanny pack from Make my Lemonade ) , and bold prints.

14 - The basket

More, you might ask? Well, yes, the raffia basket will also be part of the mix for sunny days! However, we're skipping the classic model and choosing a creation that stands out from the crowd. 15 - The bucket bag

16 - XXL earrings

This 16th essential is especially aimed at future wedding guests, because we know that many of you will be around here ;) If your outfit on the big day is not too preoccupying your mind at the moment, it will soon be time to look into the subject . And we have a perfect idea for you: adopting a pair of XXL earrings! To stay in the summer spirit, we tend to go for creations made from "solar" materials like pearls or raffia. Regarding the choice of color, it's quite simple: any, as long as it's bright!

17 - The floral scarf

A beloved accessory year-round, it will also (and especially) follow us this spring-summer. Whatever your tastes in prints, you're sure to find something to suit you given the variety of variations available on the market! For the summer season, we choose it in a larger size to wear it as a sarong during the holidays.

18 - The charm necklace

We saw it emerge in the summer of 2024, so the charm necklace will undoubtedly explode in 2025! Symbolizing our most beautiful memories and our favorite grigris, this customizable necklace translates our identity with style and originality. If we were challenged to make one for Mapache, it would contain a chili pepper, an ex-voto and a sun ;)
