A 100% handmade huarache from Mexico
Each pair of Carmen is crafted in our Michoacán workshops by artisans who perpetuate ancestral craftsmanship. The leather weaving is done entirely by hand with meticulous care. An ethical approach based on fair trade.
Materials & comfort
- Upper: 100% woven bovine leather, vegetable-tanned, with ankle strap
- Lining: 100% bovine leather, vegetable-tanned
- Insole: 100% bovine leather, vegetable-tanned, stamped with the Mapache logo
- Outsole: natural crepe platform, for a few centimeters of height while remaining comfortable
Choosing your size
Please note: the fit of the Carmen is wider than other Mapache models. Our recommendations:
- Narrow feet: take one size smaller (otherwise your foot may not be sufficiently supported)
- Normal feet: take your usual size
- Wide or fuller feet: take your usual size or one size up; you will be supported by the ankle strap
