A 100% handmade huarache from Mexico
Each pair of Carmen sandals is crafted in our workshops in Michoacán by artisans who perpetuate ancestral craftsmanship. The leather braiding is done entirely by hand with meticulous care. An ethical approach based on fair trade.
Materials & comfort
- Upper: 100% braided cowhide leather, vegetable-tanned, with an ankle strap
- Lining: 100% cowhide leather, vegetable-tanned
- Insole: 100% cowhide leather, vegetable-tanned, stamped with the Mapache logo
- Outsole: natural crepe platform, for a few centimeters of height with total comfort
How to choose your size
Please note: the fit of the Carmen is wider than other Mapache models. Our recommendations:
- Narrow foot: take one size down (otherwise your foot may not be sufficiently held)
- Standard foot: take your usual size
- Strong or wide foot: take your usual size or one size up; you will be held by the ankle strap
